Were we supposed to think InuKashi’s a boy?
Because
I kinda assumed she was a girl like
from the beginning?
Whoops, guess I haven’t been watching enough anime. Lost the ability to tell when girls are supposed to be boys.
Dogkeeper is meant to be gender-neutral, as far as I know. And I like them that way. :)
I was curious because I was reading the wikipedia article and they mention it… And I was reading the wikipedia article because of that scene after they use her as bait; when Shion touches her shoulders, he seems to realize something about her, but I’m not sure what I was supposed to get out of that? Maybe it was so obvious I’m overlooking it. Also it was like, 4 in the morning.
It might be like, a novel thing. I feel like there was a lot of unexplained stuff that was left out due to the short time they had available.
Yeah, that may be. I got the same feeling that there was a lot left out. As far as the show goes, I think they intentionally left it vague not only to avoid pacing issues, but because they prefer to let the audience take it as it is and draw their own conclusions. Personally I think in that scene Shion was probably noticing that Dogkeeper was not biologically female. The character seemed like it was still meant to be androgynous to me. Hope that helps!
